from 01.11.2011 we are a non smoking hotel

The arthotel munich is an Art Nouveau building, located in the centre of Munich, just a few minutes from the main station, the Stachus Square (the Bavarian name of the Karlsplatz), the Theresienwiese (where the Oktoberfest is organized) and the university hospital. Public transport facilities with access to the airport and the pedestrian area with many shopping centres are just 5 walking minutes from the hotel.

All our rooms are air-conditioned and equipped with private bathroom with WC, radio, TV, mini-bar and telephone. Furthermore, we offer WLan Internet access free of charge in the rooms. Start your day with a rich breakfast buffet which is served in the breakfast room.

We place special accommodations for conventions and conferences, with capacity for up to 20 people, at your disposal. Our aim is to always ensure your complete satisfaction through personalised and friendly service.

The breakfast was great and quite unexpected for this price. The room was small but everything is well thought out and functional. Wifi was free, fast and reliable.
 
I had a ground floor room and soundproofing to the corridor and the reception area could be better.

The staff are always ready to help and friendly. There is a big variety of food and ample supply of hot water for breakfast. The hotel is about 10 minutes walking distance from the Central Railway station.
 
The floor of the shower facility is slippery and users, especially elderly ones, need to be very careful.

With regards to price category and situation the hotel is really a good budget friendly choice. Front desk staff is really friendly and professional. From an "art"-Hotel I would have expected another approach to the room decoration, the room was clean and functional, but also seriouly ugly. The bathroom was nice and new. So, for a night it was OK. A good choice and quality with regards to breakfast, but with very loudly playing radio. I guess this is a personal taste thing, but early in the morning I find it very discomforting to have, next to all the room nice, radio speakers and music blasting.
