Hotel description Arte Luise Kunsthotel

Our hotel in Berlin is often called a "gallery where you can spend the night"-in one of the city's most exciting neighborhoods. The hotel is situated in Berlin-Mitte, within view of the Reichstag building and the Spree River, a few minutes walk from Unter den Linden, the Brandenburg Gate, Friedrichstraße, and the main train station. This is a historical area with top-flight architecture that has recently been attracting attention. This is where the most important currents in politics, culture, media, and science meet. Comprising a neo-classical residential palais dating from 1825 and an addition built in 2003, the hotel has a total of 50 rooms, a generous lobby, and an art gallery that also serves as a venue for events.

Our single rooms, double rooms, and suites are not only comfortable, but in the "bel-étage" of the old building the rooms are truly lavish-equipped with a shower or bathtub, free wireless Internet, and, in the new building, even air-conditioning.

In the tradition of the "Künstlerheim" we additionally offer a few simple single and double rooms in the mansard with shower and wc in the hallway.

All rooms in the hotel have been individually decorated by a renowned artist, whose concept incorporates the entire room. This combination of a truly unique location in Berlin-Mitte (city center), the inspired presentation of highly diverse artistic concepts, and the pleasant urbane atmosphere of our small hotel are what make a stay at the "Luise" an unrivaled experience.

Right in the middle of things and convenient to public transportation: located directly on the rail line between the new Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) and Friedrichstrasse. Some rooms are faced to the railway. They have special windows again noises. We can not guaranty rooms faced to the quiet courtyard.

Good sense of Arts. I will recommend this Hotel. Check out the courtyard with dining tables. Such a "Himmel" (Heaven)..

lift to certain rooms are not so clearly stated. I think this should be metioned clearly by the front desk officer. It was broke down during my check out. Poor me, had to carry my heavy luggage down the stairs.

June 2012
The staff were polite and helpful. The location was great and near plenty of restaurants and transport.

The single room was smaller than my bathroom at home. I had to ask for an upgrade to a double room. I would have moved to another hotel if my booking was refundable. The hotel is a highly overpriced Youth Hostel. The rooms did not have practical chill out space. No refrigerator either and breakfast not included in the expensive room rates.
