The Hotel Aquis Grana is a four-star hotel with 97 rooms situated in the Old Town of Aachen. The hotel is located close to the cathedral, the town hall and other historic sights. The international congress centre Eurogress and the Kàrmàn Auditorium are also situated within walking distance.
We provide single, double and triple rooms which are all comfortably furnished and well-appointed with all modern facilities like hair-dryer, satellite TV, phone, radio, suite furniture, desk, safe and soundproof windows. On request we also offer rooms for disabled people and non-smoking rooms.

Whenever I visit Aachen, I stay at the Aquis Grana and I love it. In particular the corner room :) Thank you!
I hate to tell you but I saw a big cock roach when I checked out at the counter - it disappeared on the right side under what seemed like a black marble table or stand (to the right of the counter) - was too stunned to say anything
The place really does not seem to lend itself to inhabitants like that .... (rated cleanliness with a 5 ...)

Hotel is very central and pleasant to be in. It runs a generous child policy which made it for us very economic. I only found the breakfast too expensive but this is to the fact that I am not a big eater and therefore found it too expensive, otherwise it is a good breakfast.

Central location in town, very nice internal architecture
very noisy from the street/the parking garage deck (some youngsters having a beer party until 2 am) - even with the windows closed, it was difficult to fall asleep.

The room was small (as expected in Europe) but clean and well furnished. We did not expect to get such a great room for the price and location! We were pleasantly surprised! I had read some iffy reviews and was nervous but we were very happy when we saw it.
The internet didn't go up to the floor we were on so we had to go to the lobby to use it. Given the rest of the hotel, that was not a big problem for us since there was plenty of seating in the lobby and the internet worked great there. I suppose there was a slight smoke odor next to the elevator but I'm pretty sensitive to smoke and it wasn't that bad. Also there was no trace of it in the room.

People are very friendly and supportive. We were assigned a much better and higher ranked accommodation as planned due to he fact that internet access at the scheduled room was not available.
Would still like to have internet access at the room instead of wireless at the lobby.

Nice hotel at the heart of old town. Staff is kind and willing to help. Good support in terms of parking lot etc. Very early check.in (9 o'clock) when arriving from USA was possible.
Internet access restricted to certain lcations and rooms. This was not clear at the time of booking.
Breakfast buffet is not according to 4 stars as to my perceiption.

The location is ideal for old and new areas of the city. Staff were friendly, spoke good English and were helpful when we arrived very late.
10 Euro per night for parking and Breakfast and make the stay quite expensive. No air con in the rooms is a problem as opening the windows allows in street noise.

Very well located hotel. Everything perfect, except for the noise coming from the street (see below).
Even when the window was closed, the noise from the street entered the room. Since the whether was partially hot and humid, and the room rather small, one had to open the window during the night. Thus the noise was very loud in fact. Groups of young people, and passing cars made the noise. However, one can survive it, given all the other positive aspects of the hotel.

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful and clean hotel, lovely rooms and very central for shops and the Christmas market. There was even a large plate of the local Aachen gingerbread on the reception which we were encouraged to have lots of and enjoy! Very nice. Cant wait to return.
It says on the website that there is carparking but it doesnt make clear it is only for a limited number of cars. There wasn't any space for us and we had to pay a lot to park for 24 hours in a public car park away from the hotel which was not convenient.
