The three-star Hotel Ansgar is situated in a quiet one-way street, within only 3 minutes walking distance from the central railway station, Oeksnehallen, Scala, the Tivoli amusement park, the town hall square and the Strøget pedestrian precinct.
The hotel has 81 newly furnished rooms, 24 of which are family rooms. All rooms have a bathroom, television and telephone and are accessible by lift.
The large buffet breakfast is served in the hotel's breakfast restaurant or in the hotel's court yard in summertime. There is also a meeting room for up to 24 delegates.

24th Oct evening is my check-in date. The receptionist is pretty rude. She is pretty impatient to give any responses and very authoritative to me. As a customer, it is not a pleasent exprience to start with. The rest of the staff are very good indeed.

Strategic position near the train station and cheap price with respect to the other hotels in Copennhagen.
The hotel is located at the border of the red light district. Despite this fact, the street is quiet and safe also by night.

Reasonably priced, excellent service, friendly staff, plus a generous breakfast all make the Ansgar Hotel a great choice for the traveler looking for a good deal!
The location is a bit of a drawback - it's in an area that borders on the red-light district, so exercise the appropriate caution.

Very good location very near the central train station. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and tidy. There was even free internet use!
A bit pricey for what you pay for. But given that it is in the context of Copenhagen, which is a very expensive city, then it is understandable.

Hintaansa nähden kohtuullisen hyvä tukikohta perheen kaupunkilomalle. Nelihenkinen perhe mahtui kohtuullisesti asumaan samassa huoneessa. Hyvä sijainti lähellä rautatieasemaa, Tivolia ja Strögetin alkupäätä.
Ei ilmastointia ja pienehkö ikkuna, joten helteellä tukalaa.

1. not mentioned were the high parking fees: 40 Euro per day in the city center.
2. we were astonished to see how many car windows were smashed in the vicinity: we counted 5 shattered glasses on the streets and saw 2 cars with smashed windows in 2 days (one was only 2 cars away from ours).
3. all rooms are indeed accessible by lift, but you must always either climb or descend some stairs to get to the right floor.

The hotel was with constructions/repairs going on. The room was small and the shower was right between the urinol and the handwashing ( I do not know if this is normal). But overviewing the price and the geographycal position I´d say it was nice to stay there.
