Above the romantic Tauber Valley you can find the former Free City of Rothenburg ob der Tauber. The AKZENT Hotel Schranne is located in the middle of the Old Town, next to the city wall which was erected in 1380. The building was constructed during the 17th century and served as the residence of an aristocratic family, until it was converted into a hotel by the ancestors of the current hotel owner.
The hotel has a total of 96 beds and pleasantly furnished rooms. Non-smoker rooms are available on request. All rooms have a bathroom with shower, a safe, satellite TV, a telephone and WLAN Internet access.
In summer you can enjoy watching the sunset in the garden with a glass of wine. The cosy restaurant serves Franconian specialities from our own butchery. WLAN Internet access is available throughout the hotel and in the restaurant.
In addition we provide parking facilities for our guests. Experience pure nature by using the signposted hiking and biking paths around Rothenburg. Maps and Nordic Walking sticks are also at your disposal. We may as well arrange for rental bikes.
