Hotel Description:

Our Hotel Fransziskaner is located in the middle of the historic city centre. You can reach the residence, a UNESCO world heritage site, and the spacious courtyard garden within minutes by foot. Despite our central location, you can enjoy peace in our hotel. The direct vicinity to a Franciscan monastery and reduced traffic by night contribute to that.

Our rooms are equipped with shower and WC, TV and telephone. They are spacious and offer the opportunity to reside comfortably and relax after a busy day.

We offer a rich breakfast buffet from 06.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m. every day. You can also have your breakfast on your room on request, of course.

For lunch and dinner we recommend the restaurant Klosterschänke in our hotel. You can enjoy regional specialties as well as international cuisine here. Gladly we will organise family or other celebrations for you. We offer facilities for up to 100 people.

The bed was much smaller than expected, although it was not that uncomfortable. Sound of flushing the toilet from the next room was pretty loud, although it was not unbearable. The breakfast was fine, but it would be better if there were green vegetables served. The most disappointing thing was that there was no free internet access. The wireless internet access provided by T-mobile was available, but I had to purchase the service plan to connect their network. Furthermore, the service plans available were either 60 min/$8 or 30 days/$29.99. There should be an intermediate plan like 7 days/$15, I think.

This hotel was a disappointment. The location was very good but the room was tiny and the bathroom even worse. There were two of us in the room and there was barely enough room to walk around without bumping into one another. The restaurant was good as was breakfast.
