It can be easily reached with the public transport. Each visitor of the region should not miss to visit the oldest town in Germany, which offers tourists all ages an interesting and varied leisure programme. The 3 single and 19 double rooms are appointed to a high standard and come with shower, toilet and satellite TV. Non-smoking rooms are also available. Treat yourself to the copious breakfast buffet after a restful sleep and have a nice start to the day. The Pilsstube parlour is the ideal venue to unwind with your favourite drink in a cosy atmosphere. The fireside room with 45 seats provides the best conditions for business entertainments. The Moselradweg cycling path is only 2 minutes away from the hotel. The Roman monuments, consisting of the amphitheatre, the Barbaratherme and Kaisertherme thermal baths, Porta Nigra, the Römerbrücke (Roman Bridge) and St. Peter’s cathedral are among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The breakfast was fabulous--the best in our 10-night stay throughout Europe. The rooms were small but comfortable and perfect for the price. The owner was extremely helpful and went out of his way to accommodate our needs. He let us check in during a time the reception was closed. He also offered to let me use the hotel's telephone to call back to the USA when I had a problem finding a public phone near the hotel. I don't think he realized I had a calling card and would have let me place the call even without one! Our German is extremely limited, but the owner was able to communicate effectively in English. The location away from the city center was nice and quiet. Although there was not designated parking, we had no problem finding a spot to leave the car within a short walk to the hotel. Water pressure and temperature was great in the shower. Other than some loud neighbors at night, it was quiet in our room. We were able to sleep with the window open, as our room did not face the street.
The only noise issues we had were with some loud neighbors in the hallway. Once they were in their room, we didn't hear anything, but the hallway echoed. Also, our beds were squeaky when we moved at all.
