The centre of Timmendorfer beach with its cafes, exquisite shops and restaurants is only few going minutes away. The Country Partner Hotel Am Timmendorfer Hof makes an effort for years about environment-friendliness. We are the opinion that economic thinking and responsibility for our environment do not exclude themselves, but marvelously complement one another. In the year 2006/2007 we have our internal power supply radically restructured. The oil heating was replaces by nonpolluting gas heating with calorific value technology. The 'old' oil tank (30,000 Liter)was adapted so that the rain water is caught and used for the washing machine as well as for the garden irrigation. The warm water is covered by solar plates, i.e. by solar power. For the current supply two block-type thermal power stations were installed, which covere the internal requirement and carry the overproduced energy to the public network. Our halls and public guest toilets are equipped with motion detectors. Switching on and off the light prevent redundant energy consumption. We feel confident that these sanctions a combinations are successful, for both, our enterprise as well as a technical & economical improvement of areas - environment and energy supply.
