The personally-run Altstadt Hotel zur Post Stralsund was built in 1995 and is located in the historic old town of Stralsund, right by the new market and the German Sea Museum.
The hotel provides cosy and functionally appointed rooms and apartments. The central location and the comfortable furniture are complemented by a professional service. The hotel also offers vacation apartments in the centre of the Old Town and on the island of Rügen.

There is a storage room for bikes (capacity of 70 bikes) available, including a bicycle garage. Stralsund is a city in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany, situated at the southern coast of the estuary Strelasund (a sound of the Baltic Sea separating the island of Rügen from the mainland).
Two bridges (the Rügendamm and since October 2007 the new Rügen bridge) and several ferry services connect Stralsund with the ports of Rügen.
