The hotel is housed in the former residence of the Machin family and its Haydon House’s transformation into a hotel in 1980 was designed to retain its elegant ambience, yet friendly atmosphere. The hotel’s 31 bedrooms are furnished in keeping with the building’s character and comprise of 19 double and five single rooms. Each of these has been interior designed individually; and furnished to provide an exceptionally warm and relaxing atmosphere. Recognised locally as one of the best restaurants to visit, our “Townhouse Restaurant” has been awarded a rosette by the AA for the past six consecutive years. We offer a fixed price “Table d’hôte menu”, which is changed weekly and an à la carte menu that is changed with the seasons. As well as gourmet meals, the restaurant has all the other characteristics expected of a good restaurant, including first class, attentive service, a relaxing cocktail lounge and an extensive wine list, boasting many fine wines in addition to our house wine. |
