Starting point: Zuerich Airport
Follow Green signs for Zuerich and Winterthur-pass BP gas station on right-single line joining Autobahn-after ca. 4 miles there are 4 lanes-stay in left hand 2 and follow signs for Winterthur/Schaffenhausen. This is the N1 Autobahn-after this intersection, there are 4 lanes in total, stay in left hand two lanes. Continue on N1 towards Winterthur- ca. 18km-remain on N1 Autobahn towards St. Gallen/Schaffhausen-take right lane to SCHAFFHAUSEN - the Autobahn turns into a single lane highway called N4 for ca. 20 km to Schaffhausen.
Upon entering Schaffhousen there is a single lande tunnel which emerges onto the Rhine bridge before entering another tunnel which effectively takes you underneath the City.
After leaving the tunnel the road turns into a dual lane - STAY IN LEFT LANE and head for SINGEN / THAYNGEN -(DO NO GO TO STUTTGART) - you have 6 km left to the Swiss/German border in Thayngen.
Go through the border - remain on road -after ca. 1 km TURN LEFT onto Autobahn - there is a Blue German Autobahn sign to take a LEFT turn to Suttgart.
Remain on Autobahn for ca. 10 km - you will go through two tunnels - proceed down hill fo an Autobahn Intersection called - HEGAU - keep i nright hand lane and exit right for STOCKACH & LINDAU - immediately after the first intersection the Autobahn splits LEFT for Stockach & Lindau and Right for Konstanz & Radolfzell.
Rein on Autobahn A98 to Stockach - ca. 10 km - exit Autobahn ramp at 2nd exit for Stockach OST (East) - DO NOT take first exit Stochack west.
The left at T-Junction at the end of the ramp - going downhill into Stockach continue ca. 1 km to roundabout - take 1st exit - remain on road for ca. 1 km - make a left turn UPHILL to "OBERSTADT" - follow hairpin bend aournd and up into the "Oberstadt" - through the highstreet (shops on both sides) - and after ca. 0.5 km, you will see the Hotel ahead on the right side.
There is parking for guests behind the hotel and a rear guest entrance. |
