Business hours of reception: from 08:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The Hotel Schwarzes Ross is located in the Bavarian town of Steinsfeld and situated between the enchanting Tauber Valley and the Nature Park Frankenhöhe. This half timbered house is more than 200 years old and surrounded by a rural landscape. In a few kilometres distance you will find the famous town Rothenburg ob der Tauber. We provide double rooms, holiday flats and apartments. Some rooms are located in our historical farm house and consist of a combined living and bedroom, a kitchen with dining area, a bedroom and a bathroom. Two new holiday flats are located in the “Zehntscheune”, a former warehouse where the payment in kind (in German “Zehnt”) was stored. Our rooms have preserved the typical appearance of an old country inn and provide ceilings with wooden beams and wooden panels. Our pub has a rustic ambience. In our stylish rooms you can enjoy regional dishes. The majority of our wines come from Franconian vineyards and our food comes either from our own farm or from farms in the proximity. We are also the perfect location for conferences and seminars. A successful conference requires concentrated working and inspiration in a quiet environment. The function and seminar room “Zehntscheune” offers ideal conditions for your event. The room includes all the necessary equipment and a small stage. During the summer season conferences can be held in our beautiful court yard shaded by old trees. Please note that all rooms are non-smoker rooms. |

Very friendly staff, good atmosphere in main building. Clean bed rooms and some public areas (see below).Good country food.
Some of the outside areas need tidying up and the passage way between the Zehntscheune rooms and the rest of the building look very run down and really should be renewed. Despite being given instructions, we found it difficult to find the road to this village as we came from am unexpected direction to that travelled by most visitors(we came from Schwabisch Hall)
