Starting point: Capodichino Airport Napoli Direction: SE
Naples Airport to Sorrento car itinerary- Once your have cleared customs, drive out of the airport and turn right obligatory. Take the 2nd turn on your left, green signpost direction Salerno A30. Follow signs for Salerno A30 and you will enter the ring road -tangenziale- Take the 2nd exit on your right, approx 2 Km. Sign post A3 Salerno -Reggio C-This slip road joins motorway passing Naples on your right hand side. A further 6 Km and you will approach pay toll booths the cost is 1-2 EUR. Do not use channels marked Telepass or Viacard. Proceed on motorway for 18 Km, exit motorway at Castellammare di Stabia which is just after Pompei exit. Turn left at the mini roundabout following blue signs for Sorrento. After approx 2 Km climb onto flyover and veer to the left -SS 145- Pass through 2 tunnels leading you onto the coastal road to Sorrento. Enter into the 3rd tunnel by-passing the town of Vico equense. After approx 6 Km you will reach the village of Meta. Continue on the main road Corso Italia, through Meta tStarting point: Fiumicino Airport Roma Direction: SE

A lovely little hotel with friendly, helpful, multi-lingual staff. The rooms are modern, air-conditioned, well sound-proofed, spotlessly clean and all have balconies. Good breakfast, cold and cooked, fresh fruit every morning. Incredible view from the roof terrace. 10 minute walk to the railway station, 15 minute walk to the old town. Orange Bus A runs along the Via Italia every 20 minutes if you want a lift - tickets cost 1 euro from the local Tabacci. We have stayed in a lot of 4 star hotels that are not in the same league as the Gardenia. It gives excellent value for money. We cannot recommend it highly enough.
Traffic on the Via Italia can be heavy at certain times of the day, but this goes for the whole of Sorrento. The Italians love their motor cars!){kind=link}
