Business hours of reception: from 09:00 a.m. to 08:00 p.m. Hotel Locanda Aldobrandeschi is a 16th century property, situated in the medieval town of Sorano, recently completely restored, with most of the rooms having a remarkable view on the San Rocco Archaelogical Park. The complex consists of 2 buildings. The first one is in the ancient Jewish ghetto of Sorano, where there is the main body of the hotel, the reception, the wellness centre and the wine bar, whereas the second one is in the lower side of Sorano in via del Borgo, where there is a dependance of the hotel with the rooms and the restaurant l'Hostaria Terrazza Aldobrandeschi. The rooms are particularly comfortable and appointed with simple but very comfortable vintage furnishings, reflecting the old craft tradition of Tuscany. Some of the rooms have an impressive view and overlook the Lente Archaelogical Park. Sorano is a medieval town that is particularly pleasant and whole in this urbanistic structure, located in the area of the Tufo Archaelogical Park. The country hamlet Sovana is 8 km away, an important touristic site, where there is the Ildebranda Etrurian Grave and the Sirena Grave, one of the most important necropolises discovered in the centre of Italy. The area, with a strong naturalistic value, is surrounded by important places such as Saturnia, San Casciano Terme, Bagno Vignoni, Lago di Bolsena, Argentario and Amiata. |
