Although there are fantastic fireplaces and a staircase that was hand-carved in the 1600s, the hotel has since modernised and offers guests a choice of 23 en-suite rooms with four-poster beds, 12 of which also have working open fireplaces. All rooms are comfortable and equipped with modern facilities. The bar, boasts 2 magnificent fireplaces which are reputedly the largest in East Anglia, stock cask ales and a good selection of fine wines. The Waveney Suite is our main conference room and for larger day time conferences you could use the restaurant. tea and coffee stations, a large buffet menu, pastries and biscuits are available. A flip-chart, an LCD projector, a large screen, CD-player and DVD-player are also at your disposal. The Diss Golf Club and driving range is only 2 miles from the hotel. Our house holds a civil wedding licence for either the Waveney Suite or the restaurant which both will accommodate 50 guests, or 60 guests respectively. |
