Business hours of reception: from 07:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Real “Harzer Gemütlichkeit” awaits you at our hotel. Our timbered house which was built in 1900 has been especially refurbished for you. We have 18 rooms, all furnished the cosy style typical for this region. All guestrooms are equipped with shower/WC, satellite TV, direct dial telephone and radio. End your day in our common room or sauna. The hotel is located in a quiet area in the centre of Schierke near the national park “Hochharz”. The nearby forest and spa gardens invite you to relax. A large garden with a barbecue area and parking lot are available to you free of charge. A tourist tax of EUR 1.20 per person and night is taken. |
Overall adequate for a resort type, middle price hotel. Quiet, with nice 'middle market' restaurant next door. Clean.
Poor reception arrangement; fly ridden compost bin in car park; no room heating in cool evening or for breakfast room (it appeared to warm the radiators slightly just as we finished breakfast!)
