Hotel Description:
The family-managed Gran Sol is and one of San Antonio's favourite, modestly priced hotels: it lies in a quieter corner of the resort just a short walk away from the town centre and beach of San Antonio. There are 138 rooms on 6 floors. All rooms have a complete bathroom, balcony and direct dial telephone. Safety-deposit boxes and fans can be hired. Whilst the high season of July and August attract many younger visitors, the 'Gran Sol' is very popular in the rest of the season with couples, singles and small groups of friends. There is a fresh-water swimming-pool on a spacious sun-terrace complete with loungers and sun-shades. There is also a garden with lawn for more serious sunbathing. The small sandy beach of Calo d'es Moro is less than 100m from the hotel whilst the beaches of Cala Grassio and more sophisticated Cala Grassioneta are a stroll down the coast. For the active there is tennis, crazy golf, table tennis and pool tables. The friendly bar-staff serve drinks and snacks both to the pool and the spacious lounges where there is live-music entertainment once or twice weekly plus a separate lounge with sat TV. In the air-conditioned dining-room all meals are displayed, buffet-style, in generous variety. 'So, why not join us at our modest hotel with friendly staff and excellent service. The famous Sunset strip is just around the corner, the San Antonio action nearby or you can just take off into the beautiful countryside'.
