 The location of the hotel was so convenient to the ferry and train station, both of which we used extensively to sightsee along the Rhine River. We enjoyed relaxing on our balcony with its wonderful views. The sounds of the fascinating river activity disappear when windows and doors are closed. The suite was perfect for our family of three. The bed in the main room was huge - bigger than king-sized. Our daughter had her own little cove with window and reading light, and we all loved the soft, fluffy duvets (at first we thought they were body pillows, and we found ourselves using them as such when lounging in the room). Beds were also well equipped with both table lamps and swiveling reading lights. It was nice to start the day with a simple but hearty breakfast downstairs. Excellent accommodations for a great price!

Very clean, very good food, beautiful view of the Rhine rive. Excellent location, just a 2 minute walk from the train station. There is a hill to consider to walk up/down, however. Owner is very nice and personable. He realized we were leaving early our last morning and would not have time for the breakfast that was included with the room. So he offered us each a nice glass of wine the last evening in consideration. Had a very enjoyable conversation with him while we shared the wine!

The description of this hotel is accurate on wwww.bookings.de but insufficient on www.hotels.de. It is actually an excellent hotel - recently modernized to a high standard. Location in St. Goar is superb - close to everything and excellent view of the Rhine with all its interesting river traffic. Staff is very professional and helpful at all times.Many repeat customers stay for 1-2 weeks which speaks well of course.

Excellent proximity to ship landings and the city center.
Made to feel that the rate paid was far beneath the standard rate by the hotel management. Would not recommend or stay again. |
