| Hotel Description: |
| From an initial vision in the early 1970s, a small 9 hole golf course in Cornwall, St Mellion has been transformed into a major golf and leisure resort of international repute. Today there is a 21st century four star hotel, an extensive range of meeting facilities, bars and restaurants, surrounded by two exceptional golf courses. All of this is perfectly situated on the Cornwall Devon border, offering easy access to both and everything these two stunning counties have on offer.
The Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, the first of its kind in Europe, has hosted numerous European Tour events and is one of the few must play golf courses in Britain. Tournament winners read like a who’s who of golfing legends including; Seve Ballesteros, Jose Maria Olazabal, Bernhard Langer, not to mention those who were unable to conquer this infamous test of golf such as Ernie Els, Vijay Singh, Retief Goosen and Nick Faldo to name a few.
The Kernow Course, with its wide fairways, large greens and stunning views perfectly complements the Nicklaus Signature Course, providing golfers with a challenging, but enjoyable round of golf to suit all.
Inside the facilities match the exceptional golf on offer. St Mellion has the most extensive and well designed pool and gymnasium complex in the south west. There is a range of restaurants and bars overlooking the golf courses and stunning Cornish countryside beyond, as well as the largest and most extensive conference, meeting and event facilities in Devon and Cornwall.
There is a warm and friendly atmosphere that permeates throughout St Mellion. Perhaps this is down to its vibrant golf and leisure membership, or indeed its strong Cornish roots, but no matter the reason you will be assured of a wonderful welcome and a memorable visit.
St Mellion International Resort is a surprisingly stylish and modern resort with great golfing heritage. Following its recent £20 million re-development which includes a brand new 4 star standard. |
