Business hours of reception: from 08:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The Country Hotel Ristorante Querce is located in Salsomaggiore Terme, a town in north Italia and a popular holiday resort, whose water rich in sodium is obtained from an Artesian fountain at a depth of 800 to 1200 m. The 17 double rooms are arranged in a comfortable and modern way and feature shower, toilet, bathrobe, hair dryer, air condition, mini bar, safe, TV, telephone, internet access, WLAN and desk. The floors can be comfortably reached with the lift. In the restaurant we serve regional and international delicacies, complemented by excellent wines. Afterwards you are whisked to the bar where you can sip your favourite drink. Discover the north Italian countryside and visit Tuscany or Liguria. Our region is rich in varied cultural and sports activities. |
On the website the hotel looked very nice (and normal), but on arrival we were amazed to find an absolutely gorgeous hotel, which is approached by a gravel drive, about 200 yards long, lined with trees. The hotel is made of old stone covered with greenery (& flowers) and has been renovated inside and is decorated with antiques. The restaurant, inside and outside (shaded outside from the sun by vanilla canopies), is a sight for sore eyes. We arrived, tired & dusty, and within 15 minutes we had showered (the bathrooms are very new, luxurious and clean) and were sitting, completely refreshed, at a beautifully laid table sipping a delicious local white wine. Lunch was absolutely divine! We were going to explore the local town in the evening, but decided to eat at the restaurant again, which we did not regret. The Staff are fantastic and extremely friendly. As we had travelled from Germany and had only planned for a one night break before catching the ferry from Ascona the next day, we (unfortunately) had to leave straight away. Next time we will book a few nights more and explore the area! As a matter of interest, the air-conditioning in the bedroom has been built in such a way, that noise is minimal, one wakes up completely refreshed. This hotel is one of those, that one will always come back to! We enjoyed our stay immensely!
