very friendly staff, the place is kept clean - and is in a couple of steps away from the famous drosselgasse...
there is a smell in the hallways and the furniture is old, no air conditioning and the noise from the train is disturbing if the windows are open. needs renovation |

Based on feedback from previous guests, I requested a room in the back of the hotel to be away from the street noise. The request was honored and we had a very nice room which was quiet, clean, spacious and much better than I was expecting in terms of atmosphere and comfortability. The hotel does sit on a main street with a train track across the street, however, the convenience to shopping, the train station (10 min. walk), and the Rhine cruise boat docks can't be beat. The reception service was accommodating and pleasant. Breakfast was certainly adequate and in a pleasant surrounding. There is a take-out cafe attached to the restaurant which has affordable options to those of a sit-down restaurant and the food quality was very good. So, if you're on a budget, this cafe is recommended. All in all, I can highly recommend this hotel as I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the rooms and the value for the money.

Close to major attractions and boats. Good breakfast.
Noise from trains would be a big problem in hot weather. No air-conditioning therefore you would need to leave the double-glazed windows open. |

the hotel was exactly as described. the staff was friendly,courteous and very helpful with surrounding info. would definately stay again it was so convienantly located to everything.
