Great hotel, in a quiet, beautiful, rural, Italian countryside. No real crime or graffiti. The beach is a 3 minute walk through a beautiful Italian pine forest. The rooms are large and spacious with great bathrooms. You can't go wrong with this hotel. There's a nice grocery store near the beach that sells sandwiches and food for very little money. Besides Rome, I liked this place better than the Amalfi Coast. It is less touristy and the people are very friendly.
It's an hour walk from the train station. About 3 miles. I did walk it because it looked closer on the map. The train station is surrounded by a cornfields and mountains. You'll need to arrange a taxi for 10 Euros to get you to your hotel. The famous ruins are a 30-45 minute walk from the hotel. If you do walk from the train station,the ruins emerge from the cornfield in a breathtaking surprise.
