By daylight this would be an easy hotel to find but not after dark especially as it is in a pedestrian area where taxis cannot go. This should be emphasised in all such cases.

1. Cattering : breakfast as expected for a german hotel. Abondant and fresh food.
1. Cleanliness: rooms are clean but the hotel doesn't refill the bathroom with soap if you stay a second night: no shower for the second day. Can be a real problem in summer time.
2. Staff competence : ome of the reception staff in not competent in speaking fluent English. Some of them may understand it but keep answering in German ... |

| The hotel told me they will undergo a major overhaul in January. The assessment above reflects the first room that I stayed in. I could change to a slightly better room after the first night. The first room had a single pane tiny window, wallpaper was peeling off, the shower a desaster. Definitely not a 3-star, not even a 1-star hotel. Maybe they will improve after the renovation. Location is ideal, directly in town center. |
