Room was clean and not too small. Dining room was pleasantly appointed. Food at dinner and breakfast was good. The three staff people we saw were friendly and helpful. We could pay our bill with a credit card.
The outer hotel door is always locked. When we arrived and rang the bell, there was no answer. We began to worry about whether the hotel was open (the fact that it was raining increased our anxiety). We had just about decided to leave for a while and do some sightseeing when a van drove up and a young man jumped out and ran over to us. He apologized that he had had to leave the hotel unattended in order to drive someone to the hospital. Once he let us into the hotel and gave us our room and front door keys, everything was fine.
The hotel's location is at the edge of town about a kilometer beyond the end of the streetcar line. With a car, however, the hotel's location is not inconvenient.
