The room we had was quite basic/old-fashioned compared to the pictures on this website, but it was very clean and spacious (inc huge wardrobe + good desk + large bathroom), and also had direct access to a large balcony with a view of the river and park.
All the staff were fantastic, the food was very good, and the bar has a good selection of drinks.
All-in-all, a very good place to stay less than 5 mins walk from the town centre.
The main road opposite was rather noisy from our side of the hotel - the windows could do with a bit more sound-proofing. Some plug points weren't working, but at least one was working so that was OK...
