This is a great hotel just a few minutes around the corner from the Marienplatz and shopping area. You have to check in at the main hotel around the corner but that was not problem. The building looks like a regular apartment building. Dont let the outside of the building fool you. The rooms were quiet and very clean. We had a great view (from our bathroom) of the church tower. The bedroom overlooked the street and it was very quiet. The breakfast was a great German breakfast with a huge variety og cheese, meats, and breads and much more.
The front office staff was super. There was an error in my booking price but the hotel honored it. The internet was down and I really needed it. The office staff let me use the office computer to do what I needed to do. They were ver helpful with directions and information on things to see and do.
I would not hesitate to recommend or stay at this hotel again.

Fine location - handy for transport and main sights.
Good breakfasts.

Furnishings getting a bit tatty. Noise from other rooms quite loud (wailing babies!) |

The hotel was as described - in the city near to the central pedestrianised shopping area and only a few minutes walk from the underground and less than 10 mins walk from the S8 train stop at Karlsplatz which links directly to Munich airport. Useful to know in advance that the reception was at their sister hotel round the corner so I had all the details in advance from their hotel homepage. Good choice of food for breakfast and the restaurant food was lovely. Very pleasant, excellent value for money and yes I would stay there again if I were looking to visit Munich.

It was very hot in Munich when we visited, and as stated in other evaluations, with the windows open yes there was ongoing day background noise and some intermitant noise both late at night and early in the morning, but no more than I would have expected from a city centre location anywhere. |

This hotel is a great location very close to Karlsplatz and the double decker tour buses. Great shortcut through the "Passage" to Marienplatz, the market and anywhere you need to be. We selected it because it was more reasonably priced than others and worried it may have been a bit far from everything and were pleasantly surprised with a great location. Our room on the 3rd floor, #301, was much larger than expected so my sister and I could really spread out. The beds were very comfortable. There is no air conditioning which we really didn't need in May. The breakfast is very good with many offerings, one of the better ones we experienced in Germany. The staff is friendly and we will definitely come back the next time we are in Munich.

The hotel is on a tri corner, meaning it has streets on both sides, so there is no barrier from the noise. Munchkins love their beer gardens and love to chat and party until the wee hours and this hotel has a beautiful beer garden and restaurant that is very popular with the locals. It was not a huge issue because we were so exhausted at the end of each day we slept through it, but you have to keep your windows open to get the fresh air, so if you are a light sleeper or feel this will annoy you, don't stay at this hotel. |

Great location. Friendly helpfull staff. Clean and nice sized rooms. All the city sights and good restaurants are within walking distance. Very near U Bahn, Tram, Bus stops.

Street was a bit noisy at night. Also a noisy street sweeping machine criss crossed the area for quite a while starting before 6 am. |

Good rooms, nice location, breakfast ok. If not for the staff, it would be highly recommended.

Unprepared Staff. Pray to be welcomed by the owner, Peter, the only one that really should be attending to the guests. |

Entry into the hotel in the evening through the smoked, noisy "beer restaurant" really put me off, and this single thing will make me not to return or recommend.
Reception in another hotel (but this is bareble) |

Very handy for transport links. Good breakfasts.

You have to book in and out via another hotel round the corner. Not a big deal but still odd! |
