We welcome you to our well-kept guesthouse 'Zum Stern' which is located in rural surroundings. Nuremberg and Rothenburg are only 35 minutes away. Our 13 rooms and 3 holiday flats are equipped with shower and WC, telephone, radio/CD and satellit-TV. Enjoy Franconian and international specialties served in our cosy restaurant or in the idyllic beer garden. We present seasonal dishes e.g. Franconian asparagus, fresh chanterelles, trouts or carps from our basin. We, the Knörr family, will be happy to welcome you. Very friendly staff (though as a native German speaker I did not check their capabilities when dealing with non-German guests!). Good food, though fairly heavy fare and very much "German rural". Special Wild Game Week was on, hence superb locally hunted game - "rural German" cooking at doing what it is famous for and at its best! Good local and other German wine list.
During the winter months shut on Tuesday as well as Wednesday, which ought to be mentioned. Not being able to charge meals to the room is silly. Large rooms should have baths as well as showers. Relatively poor sound insulation in ceilings, hence noise from above. Description should mention that the hotel is not in Markt Erlbach itself, but in Linden, about 5km to the west.
