Nice big room; helpful staff

Parking in Marburg is a challenge. Couldn't find entrance to hotel garage so had to park some way away. Breakfast only a good idea, costwise, if you have a German appetite! |

Location is convenient, and surprisingly peaceful and quiet with the back of the hotel looking onto an undeveloped green hillside. Breakfast was excellent. Better than expected for a hotel so close to the train station! Rooms clean and pleasant. Staff helpful.

Good location halfway between train station and old town. Free tea in lounge was a nice touch especially on coming back late at night.

Hotel had changed its name since we booked and we lost time looking for it - staff didnt even apologise for the inconvenience |

For the price, you can't really complain.

Room was 1970's style. But clean and after asking for an extra pillow I got a good nights sleep. Breakfast was very simple. Not too much to choose from.
7 EUR for parking is a scam.
No internet connection in the rooms....
Overall the hotel is quite old and has not seen any major work done on it since the early 80s. My friends room in the older part of the hotel was simply horrific. That room was generation 1950! |
