Moguntia Hotel has a very good location: close to the railway station and about 15-20 minutes on foot to the Rhine and the Old Town (e.g. cathedral, museums). I was staying in a small single room, but it was very cosy and comfortable. Delicious breakfast and really nice personnel.

very good prize-performance ratio in small rooms. Breakfast good, espresso machine, central location close to the train station
 Not much space in the bathroom: toilet is located almost under the sink. This might be a problem in the so called "small rooms" only... |

clean room, great equipmet, excellent breakfast buffet, and not expensive at all. i'll stay in the hotel again and recommand it for my friends.

The hotel would be very good even at a much higher price. Big room, great breakfast, and good access to the tram and the Bahnhof. The neighborhood is just fine.

| The web site shows 2 rooms out of the 32, in fact the only 2 which have been modernised, the remainder have not, so the web site is very misleading. |

The staff was very polite, very accommodating. The food was excellent. The location is very good, near to Main train station. Lots of nice shops and other interesting things to do in the city of Mainz, only minutes away. I would recommend this to a person who is interested in either a shorter stay, (4 days or less) or to the business traveler.
The rooms could be updated a little, especially the bathroom. There is poor ventilation in the bathrooms so it can remain humid a while after a shower. |
