A nice hotel with basic small rooms. I loved the location of the hotel in a quiet residential area, just steps away from the swiss cottage metro. I found the staff polite and professional.

The hotel is in a great location 3 minutes walk to the Swiss Cottage tube station, heaps of restaurants and shops. The room was very large for being so close to central London. Staff were pretty helpful and were happy to mind our luggage after we had checked out so that we could do more sight seeing before we picked up our hire car and left London. The area around the hotel is very nice, with a theatre and a drama school and mainly residential. We paid 79 pounds per night as opposed to the published room rate of 139 pounds (or thereabouts) and it was good value at that price. If I could get that kind of rate next time, I would certainly stay at the Swiss Cottage again.

The mattress was dreadful, it gave me a bad back after 3 nights, although my partner was OK so maybe it was just me! It was also on rollers and made lots of noise when the bed moved. The breakfast was poor for the price, particularly if you just wanted continental and not full. We went to breakfast once and after that we walked to the cafe around the corner and had a nice meal for less money. |

The location and the standard of cleanliness were excellent. The building is quite old, and though our room had ceiling stains from leakage, the housekeeping staff made it EXCELLENTLY clean every day of our stay.

Nice location and private

The antique furniture in the lounge area of the hotel room was a bit uncomfortable for relaxing on |
