Opened in 1968, always owned and managed by the same family, renovated and reconstructured, the hotel spreads into 4 functional buildings in a large wooded parkland. It is an ideal place for outdoor activities (trekking, mountain bike, canoeing, horse riding, climbing, hiking, bird watching etc). We can offer you a different and unknown Sardinia, with its breathtaking views of mountains, trees, flowers, yet very close to the sea. The hotel has 70 wide bedrooms with 150 beds divided into 7 single, 47 double and 16 triple rooms. Each room is fitted with standard furniture, bathtub or shower, wardrobe, drawer, desk, air-conditioning, central heating, private fridge (no mini bar), hairdryer, and direct dial telephone. A lot of rooms have a little balcony or a private garden as well as a panoramic view. At Hotel Villa Selene there are various large public rooms ideal for your leisure and entertainment activities. The hotel offers pool and snooker tables, reading and card rooms, guest library and a cosy fireplace all with easy access for the disabled guests. For leisure and entertainment we also have a swimming-pool and a mini golf course. The hotel has 2 air-conditioned large sunny dining rooms seating between 80 and 120 guests, overlooking the green hills and the blue sea in the distance. We organize wedding banquets, buffet lunches or dinners and special events. The restaurant serves home-made, healthy and tasty traditional Italian dishes as well as the typical Ogliastra recipies, including home made pasta like “culurgionis” (made of mint and potatoes), sausages, roasted goat and pork (better known as “su porceddu”) as well as fresh fish. |
