Chef went the extra mile for me as i have a retrictive diet. Receptionist was excellent Booked a Best Western and took ages to find as it has another name.

Nice hotel in lovely gardens good bar and resturant with live band on the friday night. The last meal available was 9.00pm so was a bit of a rushed choice as we didnt arrive at hotel until 7.30pm. Glad we only stayed 1 night as our room was swarming with ants, They may have been there for the wedding disco which was still going strong long past midnight.

The hotel staff were great as they let us book in early as we had a wedding to get to and the room was just lovely. The shower was slightly disappointing - not a lot of pressure and difficult to get the right temperature.

Lovely garden and courtyard, which a longer stay might have allowed us to enjoy. Excellent sized room and quite comfortable beds. Excellent value! More strange than negative - we asked for a dinner reservation at the Farmers Arms and couldn't have the time we asked - but got half an hour later. When we turned up (half an hour early) there was no-one in the restaurant. When we got our table (in the empty restaurant) we were told there was a half hour wait on food. The food was great - but what was all the rest about? (Something specifically Norfolk, perhaps?)

There was a disco on until 12 midnight. Our room was next door , it was very noisey. We were told we should have been informed but we wern't, we would then have asked to be moved.

Hotel part of accommodation very good but the pub restaurant leaves something to be desired.
