Very nice stay.
The hotel was not aware we wanted to have a non smoking room even though it was specified in our booking and because of lack of availability we had to stay in a smoking room. |

service in restaurant is excessively slow - particularly when I am dining alone I don't like being left for 45 minutes before any food arrives. Also I ordered a starter and it never arrived... |

The service staff is extremely professional and accomodating. The location of the hotel is excellent - within walking distance of Ettlinger Tor (shopping center) and Kaiserstrasse (pedestrian shopping district with multiple department stores and smaller shops). While there are many restaurants in walking distance, the Zum Markgrafen restaurant in the Renaissance is an excellent choice for both quality and value.

Nice, well located hotel near the schloss area, right across from a Edeka market which is open 8:00-22:00, very convenient. Telephone/internet "call shops" are located nearby within easy walking distance.
There is a underground two-level parking. However it costs 12 Euros per day to park there and the parking spots are tight. |
