Clean comfortable hotel, better than average for the continent. Free small minibar (couldn't really believe it but it was true). Not a British breakfast but I really shouldn't hold that against them.

The Karlsruhe zoological garden is across the street, which makes for a wonderful soundscape --of course not when the window is closed: then the room is quiet.
