Welcome to the 1st German Potato Hotel in Lübeln, the restaurant and wellness-hotel in the “Wendland“ in the eastern part of the “Lüneburger Heide“.
Guests from all over the world come here where everything is still as it used to be in the old days and where we are dedicated to the potato in every possible version. The 1st German Potato Hotel does not just use the potato in its restaurant but also in its adjoining “snuggle-farm” in the wellness area, where the potato is used hot and cold.
The potato is present in the whole house: Every room is named after one of the potato varieties. All in all we offer 95 beds in 35 rooms and 2 apartments. Diverse and individually furnished rooms ensure a comfortable atmosphere for a relaxing wellness-holiday.
The restaurant of the Potato Hotel offers 12 tables for up to 50 persons. In one corner we have a cosy bar for our guests. The restaurant is located in a typical Wendland half-timbered house.
The potato is cultivated at the 1st German Potato Hotel. Most of the time there are a few sacks of potatoes in front of the door, freshly delivered by the farmer next door. No matter if ground, mashed, boiled or fried – we celebrate the potato in all its diversity. It is up to you if you choose to indulge yourself with hearty potato dishes or lose a few pounds with our potato-enzyme-diet. |
