Hotel an der Altstadt is located in the heart of the town Hamelin, which is famous for the folk tale of the Pied Piper. The historic centre of the Old Town and the pedestrian precinct are a short walk away. The Art Nouveau building was built in 1901. It was renovated and now offers modern comforts to its guests. All rooms provide free WLAN internet access. Furthermore, they are appointed with shower and toilet, hair dryer, cable TV, telephone and desk. Most of the rooms additionally offer a lounge or a sofa. The day starts nicely with a tasty breakfast in buffet style. In addition, there are beverages, sweets and salty snacks provided in the lounge beside the reception area. |
The hotel and staff were great. The free car parking in a secure car park, aout 100 metres from the hotel was a great bonus. The hotel is in a nice area, just a 2 minute stroll from the edge of the shopping area. Breakfast was also great.
The noise from the corridor does permeate through into the room.
