 Die Klimaanlage löäuft automatisch an, sobald das Fenster zu ist, obwohl sie formal auf 0 steht.
Durch 'noddeln' am Febstergriff bekommt man das weg. Das wurde mir erst gesagt, nachdem ich in meiner Verzweiflung bei er Rezeption angerufen habe. |

The location is very near the main station. The rooms are big enough. No problems there.
We had to pay 24€ for a five minute international phone call. In the (cheaper) hotel we had in Berlin it was 4€. It was not clearly marked in any of the information leaflets, that it is so expensive. Besides, there's no reason, except to milk customers, why it has to be so expensive. Breakfast is not included, and at 15€ per Person far too expensive. The price for the double room at 112€ per night is okay for the location, I guess, but I expected better overall service for that. You really don't get anything extra, except a fine place to sleep. |

| First one lift and then the other went defective. Whilst the owners could not effect a repair ,a gift of compensatory braekfast would have been thoughtful. Being on the 6th floor it was a real struggle for us, as I have a bad knee. |

really nice and clean rooms, positioned next to the train station; and the HVV ticket is really great!

I agree with all the nice things said in previous reviews about this hotel. Can’t say more. We have stayed at InterCity in Frankfurt last year and experienced extremely small room and “cold and unhelpful" staff. As such we had low expectation for the Intercity in Hamburg. However when we got there, we were very surprise by the quality and size of the room, front office's friendly service and even the breakfast spread. The Hamburg joint is better is its sister hotel in Frankfurt, in fact it’s a major improvement! Consider the price of hotels in Hamburg, this is great value for money and the free ticket for trains & buses for the length of stay is helpful.
Noises from the street and get super thin pillows. The sound proofing could be improved and the pillows needed replacement, it’s a source of stiff neck the next day. |
