Hotel Hirschen has been in the hands of the current family since 1870 and is now run by the fourth generation. The establishment lies in the delightful community of Grindelwald in the Bernese Oberland. Whether skier or hiker – you will enjoy the unique mountain backdrop with the quadriga of the Wetterhorn, Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains.

The rooms are both comfortable and elegant. They are stylishly furnished with oak pieces, lovingly adorned with painted farming motifs. All rooms come with, amongst other things, a bathroom with a shower or bathtub, hairdryer, safe, telephone and a TV set to assure guests are not left wanting for entertainment.

On the ground floor you will find our restaurant with its homely atmosphere. Enjoy the best of our traditional cuisine in elegant surroundings. Our breakfast room, with its adjacent hotel bar, is located on the first floor. Every morning you will be welcomed here with an ample breakfast buffet.

The room we stayed was pretty good. Had a nice view. Well, it was 220CHF you know.

First, we arrived at the hotel and we asked for a nice room because we weren't sure we were getting a nice room with this promotion deal..in Europe, promotion doesn't mean you get a good room in a low price.. The guy at the hotel said it's a good room, but actually it was one of the room in the backyard..so, we asked the guy to change the room. I mean 200CHF is a lot to pay. You can get nicer hotels in 200CHF. The guy told us, you are only paying 200CHF. Europe! Anyway, the guy offered us to pay 20 CHF more so we could change the room. We asked him that we want to cancel, but he said we couldn't, even We didn't stay or used the place! Well, we had no choice so we paid extra and changed our room.
