Small comfortable hotel within easy walking distance of the stadmitte and several excellent restaurants. Our room with balcony had a view if the Zeugspitz and had modern amenities. Family run hotel and the owners were helpful above and beyond the norm. The hotel was having a new roof fitted but this did not impact us in any way but the owners offered a discount which was useful. The inclusive continental breakfast was outstanding and served in a large attractive conservatory.
 Hardly a negative point but quite hard to find if arriving after dark without satnav. Recommend downloading large scale street map or arrving in daylight! |

We would highly recommend Gausthaus Maria for any travelers. The proprietor was very helpful and informative. She spoke excellent English and was very accommodating. We would stay there again. Recommend Highly. Breakfast Excellent. Room comfortable and clean. Short walking distance to restuarants and down town.

What a wonderful, friendly, clean gastehaus. It was all I wanted in a typical small German hotel; quiet neighborhood, within easy walking distance of the center of Garmisch and some great restaurants. I will stay there again, and certainly recommend it to my friends. My thanks to Manuela for making my stay so memorable.

picturesque location, neat and tidy, and the onwers were very friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was also very good. A pleasant stay altogether.
The description stated that our room had a balcony....ours did not, which was disappointing. |

Very nice; modern bathrooms; friendly staff; a view of mountains from every room. The rooms are all named for something in the area instead of numbers, which is different. Very "Bavarian" and my parents loved it.
Somebody was smoking somewhere, and could be smelled in the rooms. Possible guest who was a closet smoker. |
