Calm and comfortable
a bit far from station, so that we could not return to the hotel after sight seeing next day. We had to carry heavy baggage after checking out. |

Wonderful little hotel just outside the main city. About 15 minute walk to the city or 20 minutes to the train station, if you can figure out the directions. Take the footpath along the river, not the driving route.
Make sure you have luggage on wheels that will tolerate cobble stones and can be pulled up/down hills. |

Very basic room with standard European style double bed. Stand up shower in bath only. Friendly staff.
Hotel location difficult to find even with GPS on our car, as it is located off the main road. |

Hotel Jakob garni was comfortable, quiet, and the staff spoke English well. We were also pleasantly surprised to find that it had free wireless Internet access. I was located in a beautiful resort area only about 2 minutes from Fuessen. It was nice to stroll along the well lit paths in the evening, and if the weather had been better, the swimming lake would have been fun to swim in.

The room at Hotel Jakob garni was really fine and the people working there were very nice, helpful and very service-minded. The breakfast was superb.
We will certainly recommend this hotel to others travelling to Füssen.
