The staff is wonderful.

The hotel badly needs air conditioning, for the street noise is overwhelming. Guests on the south side have the Eisenbahnstrasse to deal with. Guests on the east side have the happy, inebriated folks who populate the Columbi park around the clock. In other words, windows cannot be left open, but the Rhine valley is hot and humid for much of the year. Our small room smelled of smoke, too.

The staff was very good and helpful. The location was excellent being five minutes away from the train station. The room was tiny, but it is alright since the service was good.

We were welcomed with the offer of a complimentary beverage ... and when we left were given a bottle of water each for our train journey. All staff were kind, thoughtful and friendly. We've stayed 3 times in this hotel and it's a definite favourite!
