Good central location in a quiet street, 5 minutes walk from main station without being in the immediate "seedy" vicinity. Friendly efficient staff.

Room was quite noisy, but suspect was a bit unlucky being on first floor just off the staircase. |

Overall this was a lovely experience and I would happily stay in this hotel again. The room was not overly large but appropriately and attractively furnished and very clean. There was a appealing variety of choices for breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere. A small hotel that has done this right.

The staff (Andrea) went out of their way to make me feel at home in Frankfurt - such as printing train & bus timetables and maps from the internet. Mostly the whole experience was better than expected - lovely, quiet, tree-lined streets - the lounge and breakfast room is superb and so comfortable and the outside courtyard is absolutely beautiful. Would love to come back if I pass through Frankfurt again!

Construction was going on in the street 100m down from the hotel, so Saturday morning was quite noisy and therefore I had to keep my windows shut - they were soundproof and very effective though! |

Very welcoming and helpful staff. Quiet, relaxed atmosphere and very convenient for both the Messe and the Hauptbahnhof - only a few minutes' walk from either. Standard of bedroom and breakfast area was above what one would normally get for the price in Frankfurt during Messe weeks. Highly recommended, though make sure you don't fully book it so I can't get a room for next year's Musikmesse!

Only blight on the stay was a very inconsiderate guest in the room above putting his TV on at full blast at 1.30 in the morning. However, this was solved by a call down to reception who immediately rang the offending room and the TV was switched off soon afterwards. It does suggest, though, that soundproofing could be improved even though the hotel is generally very peaceful - important after noise days at the Messe.
The only improvement to the ambience of this cosy style of hotel would be a bar, providing a focal point during the evening for guests. In compensation, though, there are minibars in the rooms and there's a pub across the road - the Fox & Hound - which serves good-value food as well. |
