Waldfrieden is located in the heart of the mountain range Fichtelgebirge, far
away from the hustle and bustle of the town of Brand (Oberölbühl district). Set right in the
outskirts of a forest, this establishment is the ideal base for hiking tours,
bicycle trips and many other activities.
We provide double and 3-bed
rooms appointed with shower, toilet, satellite TV, WLAN and telephone. There
are also holiday dwellings for up to 4 people available.
Our property is renowned
for its good regional cuisine. On Saturdays and Sundays we serve traditional
lunch. We often offer tasty titbits in the evenings as well. Coffee, cake and
snacks are served daily. The idyllic beer garden provides the chance of
alfresco dining in the summer.
At the reception you can purchase fishing
maps, or buy your tickets to the “Kristall- and Radontherme Fichtelberg” (a
famous spa of the region). Bicycles can be rented in the town.

Our „Hotel Steinwaldhaus“ is located in the Upper Palatine city of Erbendorf. The relaxation area is situated in the densely wooded valley “Fichtelnaabtal”, at the southern edge of the natural park “Steinwald”. A wide, hilly scenery with many forests awaits you and will certainly provide splendid holidays within a magnificent scenery and original culture.
In addition to single- and double rooms, we also feature holiday apartments. All premises are cosily furnished and are equipped with en-suite bathroom, WC, TV, telephone, internet access and much more amenities.
Our restaurant serves excellent dishes within a cosy ambience. Our so-called “Drehlokal” can cater for many guests and a breakfast room will be available, too.
