Of all the hotels we stayed in on our holiday, this was by far the most interesting as far as the surrounding area was concerned, as the town was only a short stroll away from it. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and even though for reasons beyond their control we were unable to have the room which we booked originally, they made up for it by offering us a suite for the last 2 days of our stay in recompense. All in all this was a fantastic place to stay and we would have no hesitation in recomeding it to others in the future. The one aspect of this hotel that was not advertised on the site or the hotel description was how ideal it would be to book for weddings, as they have a fantastic frontage to the hotel, together with being able to cater for weddings, and the fact that you could stay overnight there afterwards rather than having to travel elsewhere. In fact they had two weddings there the day we arrived, and I should imagine that the photographs they had taken would be second to none, with the castle as the backdrop.
