I travelled from New Zealand to learn more about my German ancestors. I felt welcomed at this hotel, I spoke no German and was on my own, staff we kind and helpful. A most lovely place to stay, the meals were delightful, One day I will return with my family.

Parkhotel Krone is an ideal place for having a relaxing weekend in a picturesque Black Forest location. Our room was very clean and spacious and we definitely appreciated the charming little balcony to the garden and the flamingos.As for the cuisine, it was exquisite and memorable....the kumquat soup was a delight for our palate! You really need to speak German as most of the staff do not speak neither English nor French. The same counts for the hotel's dinner menu available only in German. The service needs some improvement as we had to wait 45 min. to be served for dinner! The breakfast buffet aims mainly at satisfying those having a savoury rather than a sweet tooth...
