Built in the 1860's, the Royal Ettrick Hotel was originally the grand town house of a rich Edinburgh barrister but was converted into a hotel in the 1940's. It is situated within walking distance of the city centre.

The hotel offers 17 en-suite bedrooms, 12 of which are traditional in décor and partially with sloping ceiling. The other 5 rooms are located on the ground floor, they are modern and come with all day skylights.

An extensive menu is served in the conservatory bistro where weather permitting you can dine alfresco in the garden. All major sporting events are shown in the bar, which is frequented by locals and visitors alike.
