Hotel Description:
The Menzies Belford is situated on the banks of the Water of Leith in a quiet secluded area, yet close to the cosmopolitan city centre, the hotel offers the best of both worlds. The Forth Road Bridge and both of Edinburgh's main railway stations are only a short drive away and many of the city's local attractions, including the Dean Gallery and Princes Street, are just minutes walk from the hotel. Whether you are staying on business or leisure the hotel offers a range of facilities including the Brasserie Restaurant and the Granary pub. The hotel also has an extensive private car park including underground car parking which is free to all residents.

Approach

From the Fourth Road Bridge take the A90 and at the first double roundabout go straight ahead. When the road forks, turn right, then turn right at the next roundabout and through one set of lights. The hotel is on the right hand side. If travelling from the southeast take city bypass west until the Gogar roundabout. Follow city centre signs and pass Haymarket railway station. Turn left at the second set of lights and the hotel is on the left at the bottom of the hill after the bridge. Edinburgh EDI Airport 8 miles west Glasgow Airport 65 miles north

      Staff were very good at dealing with clients during a minor crisis, especially with supplies of tea and free minibuses...

      ... on arrival, guests had to be transferred moved to another hotel due to a (minor) gas leak that day so I never got to experience this hotel properly. It seemed very nice though.
