It is rumoured that a secret tunnel ran from the old nunnery to the castle. The hotel has recently been refurbished and all of the rooms have air-conditioning, flat screen TV, ceiling fan, safe and a private bathroom with a shower or a bath and a hairdryer. Some rooms have a small balcony. Within a short walking distance of the hotel, there are 20 km of beautiful beaches, excellent ferry links to Ibiza and the Balearics (Majorca and Minorca) and train and bus stations. The trip to Ibiza takes just over 2 hours on the fast ferry. The journey time from Alicante airport or Valencia airport to Denia is about an hour by car on the AP-7 motorway.
