| The entire villa is constructed from valuable hand hewn stone from the quarries near the Sestaione River and rigorously chiselled by hand. The three-story building is embellished with pointed arched windows on the first floor and rounded arched windows on the second. The restoration of the Villa was a long and complex process, lasting more than three years. With skill and craftsmanship, the ceilings supported by enormous chestnut beams, staircases sculpted by hand, and 16th century capitals in the restaurant have been returned to their original beauty. Today the hotel is classically opulent yet modern. It features 25 rooms: among them one suite, one junior and three superior suites. The Villa fronts a 17,000 square meter park that stretches to the Ximeniano Bridge on the Sestaione. Nestled in the green of the park is a modern wellness centre and restaurant, I 20 Ducati, in which it is possible to savour the specialties of the local culinary tradition. |
