A visit to the town centre with its historical Old Town and many half timbered houses, the old Guild Hall and the market square arcades is always worthwhile. The Hochwachtturm Tower at the Zwinger (the area between the outer and the inner city wall) is the landmark of the city. A number of tourist routes lead right through Waiblingen such as the 511 km Württemberg Wine Route, the Remstal Route with its biking and hiking trails and a number of gastronomic and cultural routes like the 90 km Remstal Biking Trail and the German Route of Half-Timbered Monuments. |
